As a Growth Marketing & Demand Gen Associate, your primary goal will be to attract business owners to the Honeycomb Credit platform. You will develop and execute strategic marketing initiatives to generate high-quality leads from business owners seeking funding opportunities.
Location: Hybrid, we typically go into the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong proficiency in digital marketing channels including social media and content marketing
- Expertise in data analysis and performance metrics, with a strong ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights
- A social media fanatic: You’re not just up-to-date on the latest trends—you live for them. You understand the nuances of various platforms and know how to create content that resonates.
- Experience in developing and managing referral programs and affiliate marketing initiatives
- Strong project management skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to craft compelling marketing messages
- Creative thinker with a passion for innovative marketing strategies and tactics

- Proven experience of understanding the audience you are marketing to learning their motivations, challenges they face, and language that they use

- Possess a Proficiency in A/B Testing and Experimentation: Understands the basics of A/B testing and growth experimentation, and how to apply these frameworks across various marketing channels to optimize performance.

Role Responsibilities:
- Own Business Owner Acquisition: Work side-by-side with Annamarie to spearhead business owner marketing acquisition efforts. Be prepared to take initiative and drive growth through innovative strategies, whether it’s launching a new paid ad campaign (with a lean budget), optimizing our SEO efforts, or shaking up our social media presence.
- Get Creative with Content and Campaigns: Develop and implement marketing campaigns that catch the attention of small business owners and draw them to the Honeycomb Credit platform.
- Experiment Relentlessly: Be prepared to test, learn, and iterate quickly. You’ll need to have a passion for experimentation and a knack for data-driven decision-making to optimize our marketing efforts.
- Manage Social Media and Google Display Ads: Rapidly plan, create, and optimize social media and Google Display Ads to boost engagement, traffic, and conversions. Develop a robust social media plan, including city-specific strategies to engage local communities and drive quick results.
- Drive Organic Traffic and SEO Strategy: Shape and implement an SEO strategy designed to boost organic traffic. This includes keyword research, content optimization, and backlink building.
- Build Affiliate Links and Partnerships: Identify and establish affiliate partnerships to expand our reach and attract qualified leads. You'll manage affiliate links to boost brand visibility and traffic, always on the lookout for new partnerships and growth opportunities.
- Content Strategy and Execution: Create and execute a content strategy that aligns with our marketing goals. This involves producing engaging content for blogs, social media, our podcast (“Thank you, come again!”), and other platforms to attract and captivate business owners.
- Press Relations and Listings: Research and secure both paid and organic press opportunities to enhance brand visibility. Ensure Honeycomb is featured on all relevant platforms discussing small business financing options.
- Strategic Events and Community Engagement: Plan and execute strategic events, including industry nights, success parties, and other networking opportunities, to generate leads and build relationships with business owners.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest marketing trends, tools, and best practices. Continuously explore and implement new strategies to improve marketing effectiveness and achieve growth goals.
- Conduct Customer Research and Analysis: Spend time understanding our customers and their goals to gain a holistic view of the market and uncover new growth opportunities. Use customer insights to improve messaging and engagement strategies.
- Develop and Implement Testing Strategies: Build quarterly testing strategies and experimentation roadmaps to drive growth across all acquisition channels. This involves developing messaging and creative tests to target and convert the right audiences, as well as implementing tactical optimizations to enhance channel performance.
- Manage Reporting and Strategic Analysis: Oversee the reporting process and conduct strategic analysis of all acquisition marketing channels. Use data to generate actionable insights that drive optimization and growth, and regularly track and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) against objectives and key results.
